Alaska’s Kenai and Kasilof Rivers

The Kenai River supports wild returns of salmon by the millions, as well as a trophy Rainbow trout fishery that produces some of the largest fish you will find anywhere in the state.

Regulations and run timing in Alaska can be complicated with a seemingly overwhelming amount of information. Peak run timing, and the section of river most likely to produce can vary seasonally and sometimes day to day. I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have about fishing in the area and will always give an honest opinion.

About us

The fishing

We offer fishing trips for King, Sockeye(Red), Silver salmon, trophy Rainbow trout and Dolly Varden(Char). Whether fly fishing, or conventional gear is used, I accommodate anglers of all ages and abilities so everyone can enjoy what makes Alaska so special. We provide all gear and equipment (and instruction) needed to get you out on the water and be successful.

Boats and equipment

We operate out of custom built 20 ft aluminum power and drift boats made by Willie Boats. They have been the Kenai River standard for years and are safe, reliable, comfortable, and purpose built for the rivers we fish.

We provide high end, quality rods and reels  as well as breathable chest waders if needed for the day.

Our location

The Kenai Peninsula is one of the most beautiful regions of Alaska, and our fisheries flow right through the heart of it.

The Kenai River has several road accessible points along its 82 mi course and is a 2-3 hr scenic drive from Anchorage. The Kasilof River is a short, 20 min drive south of the town of Soldotna.

Depending on the target species, and time of year we operate out of a private boat slip near the town of Soldotna with free parking. (No parking lines or crowds!!) Kasilof drift boat trips will begin at a public boat launch. Trout trip locations will vary, as our trout population migrates and concentrates on different food sources throughout the season.

Your guide-BRANDON ring

I am a lifelong Alaskan and year round resident. While I love to travel and have fished and guided all over the state, the rivers of the Kenai Peninsula are my home. I’ve been fishing the Kenai and surrounding streams since I could walk and I haven’t stopped since. I’d love to share my experience with you and work hard to make sure you have the best trip possible.
